Three Useful Gifts for 20-somethings

When family members hit me up for Christmas gift ideas, I usually have a hard time coming up with ideas. I’m sure they have an even harder time finding gifts! To help out my fellow 20-somethings, I’ve put together a short list of useful items that I have either received as presents or purchased myself.

Mobile Air Compressor

Though not the most glamorous gift, I’ve used the air compressor I received for Christmas many times. The model I have is from Kobalt, and it plugs directly into my car’s cigarette lighter receptacle so no matter where I am, if my car tire gets low, I can stop and air it up. It also comes with multiple nozzles, such as a needle you would use to air up a bike tire. This is an especially good present for anyone who regularly commutes to work or school.

Mini Coffee Maker

When my coffee maker died earlier this fall, I was devastated. And no, that’s not an overstatement – a friend once told me that coffee is my calling card. Immediately, a new coffee maker went on the Christmas list. I love the Mr. Coffee 5-cup model my grandma gifted me. It’s designed to take up minimal counter space in the tiniest of apartment kitchens and has a timer option. No need to rush around to get your caffeine kick ready before work – just set the timer the night before and pour hot coffee into your favorite thermos in the morning!

Handheld Steamer

After hearing about these little machines from my friends for quite a while, I finally purchased this handheld steamer for myself on Amazon a while back. It heats up in two minutes! I hate ironing; this steamer is a faster, easier alternative that gets the job done. With just a few extra minutes in the morning, you can pull together a wrinkle-free professional outfit that’s fit for any presentation.
